KAMI learned that performance artist Marina Abramovic proved that when two people establish a connection with each other, then it will be hard to break it when she did a live performance piece at the MoMa back in 2010.
It is known that no matter how far these two people are from each other or how long they have last seen one another, the connection that they have will never be lost.
During her performance, Marina sat in a chair with a random people sitting in front of her. She just kept quiet most of the time while looking different people directly into their eyes.
Then, her childhood love, Uwe Laysiepen (Ulay), came into the room and sat in front of Marina. The artist’s face was suddenly filled with both joy and sadness as tears came running down her face.
It turned out that Marina and Ulay were madly in love when they began collaborating on projects back in 1976.
Yet, the two had to end their relationship, they even publicized it and made a performance art out of it by walking from opposite ends of The Great Wall of China, which is around 2,500km from one end to the middle, to meet and say goodbye. They called this work The Great Wall Walk.
