If there’s one thing that everyone should know about Boy Abunda, it’s his relentless love for his mother.

It is known that he dedicated his speech to Nanay Lesing when he got his doctorate last year.

This time, his love for his mother showed again in a short film he produced on his official Facebook page.

KAMI saw the video, titled ‘Lipstick’, and was reminded of the opening scene of Jun Robles Lana’s ‘Die Beautiful’.

A gay man, played by Eian Rances, is seen making up a woman who we presume is his mother.

The introduction has already prompted us to get some tissues. (screenshot of video)

Aside from having a similar concept to the award-winning indie movie, it also reminded us of the heartbreaking Jollibee ads of late.

Want to know why we think so? Check out the complete clip below.

Turns out that the gay man was putting make up on his dead mother, whom he is thankful for everything.

After all, she accepted him for who he became and we hope that the same goes for our LGBTQ brothers and sisters.

Let KAMI know if you have a similar story to this and we’ll be glad to share your tale to everyone!
