Ogie Diaz is known for being a comedian, show business reporter, and talent manager. He was able to handle Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano before achieving the fame and popularity they have now.
KAMI learned that even though he has revealed in the past that he is openly gay, Ogie Diaz has a family of his own – his wife Georgette and their four daughters.
He said that he used to date women in the past before realizing that he was gay yet even if he is gay and is attracted to men, Ogie said he loves Georgette.
He said in an interview,
“Hindi naman sa nagmamalinis ako, siyempre nagkakaroon din ako ng crushes. Kasi kailangan ko pa ring maramdaman ‘yun, ayoko namang magpaka-ipokrita. Pero iba pa rin kasi [si Georgette].”
In a Facebook post, Ogie shared a short story of how rewarding it is to be a dad because on Father’s Day, June 18, his eldest daughter asked him about her entrance exam results. Because Diaz wanted to be honest with his daughter, he told her the truth that she did not pass the exam.
Yet in order to ease her pain, Ogie explained that when he was her age, he also didn’t get to pass the entrance exam in his school of choice and if he passed in that school, then he might not have been where he is now but he still saw his daughter cry.
As it turns out, she wasn’t crying because she failed the exam but because of a deeper reason.
