In the Philippines, carabaos are such a common sight especially in the rural areas, that we do not really give them that much thought.
We often see them plowing the fields, or carrying sleds to deliver produce off to the nearest market. They are perpetually tagged as a farmer’s best friend for working just as hard under the heat of the sun.
But this viral video from Tee Radio shows us otherwise - carabaos can be used not just for agricultural purposes or beasts of labor in the farm, but also as a peculiar vehicle in grand celebrations.
The viral video shows the bride in her own version of a “bridal car” on her way to her wedding. As can be seen, the carabao-drawn carriage comes completely adorned with ornaments and flowers, making it every bit as picture-worthy and very unique.
The bride can be seen laughing, obviously cherishing the moment and enjoying her last ride around town as a single lady.
Netizens’ reactions were varied. While some were amazed and congratulated the bride for thinking up such a novel idea, many were also quick to point out that the carabao-drawn carriage looked ‘cheap’ and that the bride looked despicable and pitiful riding on it.
Check out this viral video of the bride’s unique bridal carriage and let us know your thoughts.
