KAMI learned from The West Australian about the technical problem that AirAsia’s A330 encountered with 359 passengers on board.
The Air Asia flight was bound for Kuala Lumpur and left Perth at exactly seve in the morning. An hour and half on flight, the passengers hear a bang and the plane started to experience shaking. According to the report it was caused by a single engine failure after some passengers heard the small explosion from the plane’s left wing.
The pilot announced that they will be rerouting the flight back to Perth and the requested everyone to pray. “I hope you all say a prayer, I’ll be saying a prayer too and let’s hope we all get back home safely.”
Everyone cooperated and followed the brace position as they were about to land; however, for some, it was the most frightening as they don’t know what exactly was going on.
The passengers applauded the pilot for a great job and for reassuring safe landing.

As per AirAsia, “Flight crew are taking precautionary measures to check the aircraft and some guests on board the flight will be transferred to the next available flight today, other guests will be informed of the progress of the flight. The safety of our guests is our utmost priority.”
