Mom organises a “dream wedding” for her terminally ill little girl

Terminally ill Eileidh Paterson (5) is very young to have to face the fact that her life is over almost before it began. Her main wish was to be married before she died. She chose best friend Harrison Grier (6) to be her groom.

In an effort to help ease her daughter’s final days her mom, Gail Paterson, made sure that the day they declared each other “best friends forever” would make Eileidh’s dream come true.

The guests were dressed up in fairytale or super hero costumes and the ceremony was in the form of a fairy tale where Gail told the story of Eileidh’s life. The neuroblastoma that shadowed her life was called the “evil beast”.

Eileidh’s older brother Callum escorted her down the aisle and her sister Cerys read a poem. Harrison was dressed in true Scottish fashion. As a rule he didn’t like dressing up but this was for his best friend and he realised how important it was for her.

After exchanging necklaces they went on to celebrate with their friends at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The main celebratory item was candy floss, the couple’s dance was Phy’s Gangnam Style followed by Disney show tunes.

Metro News reports that the sick little girl has made some wonderful memories for herself, her friends and relatives.
