News about terrorists and propaganda have been circulating online over the past few years and with that, tech giants such as Facebook will launch a new program that will stop extremist online.
KAMI learned from Mail Online that Facebook is launching a new program to fight radical materials online; however, they won't allow security services to read encrypted messages
MP Nigel Huddleston of the Commons Culture Select Committee said that “Facebook know WhatsApp is the platform of choice for some of the darkest elements in our society, the public's mood on this has changed, and Facebook are on the wrong side of it.”
On the other hand, Facebook's chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg shared that “There is no place for hate or violence on Facebook, we use technology like AI to find and remove terrorist propaganda, and we have teams of counterterrorism experts and reviewers around the world working to keep extremist content off our platform.”
Just like the Sheryl, KAMI wants to remind everyone that there should be no rooms for hates and violence in social media!
