Kapamilya leading lady Arci Muñoz kept mum about whether she would be the next to play the role of the local female superhero, Darna.
In an interview with TV patrol, the actress thanked Metro magazine for choosing to have her in the cover of its anniversary issue.
“I’m really thankful to Metro coz it’s their anniversary issue and they chose me to do the cover with them,” said Muñoz, “…it’s for women empowerment.”
Asked whether her sexy cover photo for the 27 anniversary issue of Metro magazine to be released this May is a hint that she would be doing the much-coveted role of the local female superhero, Muñoz didn’t want to say anything about it.
“Syempre maiisip din naman nila yun ‘pag ganun,” she said, “Ayoko munang magsalita.”
Instead, she talked about her latest project with the Kapamilya hunk and leading man Jericho Rosales. She will reprise the role of superstar Nora Aunor in Mario O’Hara’s 1980s classic Kastilyong Buhangin.
“Sabi ko nga sa kanila iprepare nila akong mabuti kasi talagang ang pressure talaga sa akin,” Muñoz said, “This is a remake kasi of a Nora Aunor classic [so] I’m really nervous.”
Her latest project entitled “Never Say Goobye” is a remake of Mario O'Hara's "Kastilyong Buhangin" which tells the story of two children, Laura and Oscar, whose fates were sealed with a promise by the boy that he will always take care of the orphaned girl no matter what.
In the drama series, Muñoz will be playing the role of a provincial girl who travels to Manila to achieve her dream of becoming a lawyer. The actress revealed in an interview with ABS-CBN News that they will be shooting in Caramoan.
This new TV series with Jericho Rosales, John Estrada and Gelli de Belen is a follow-up from her last show “Passion de Amor” where she was paired with Jake Cuenca. Her last film was “Always Be My Maybe” with Gerald Anderson under Star Cinema.
