Having babies and building a family is usually the end-goal of finding a partner and getting married. KAMI understands, however, that sometimes, end-goals can be tough, or even impossible, to achieve.
Such was the story of Joanna and her husband Steve, that is, until they met one woman who would change their lives...
Shaniece Sturdy, a 21-year-old mother to Rylee and a resident of Carshalton, Surrey, had seen a documentary about surrogacy during her teens and decided that she wants to help couples experience parenthood.
Armed with this desire, Shaniece reached out to a surrogacy center and in doing so, met a loved-up couple, Joanna and Steve.
She agreed to carry the couple's baby to it's full term, but was surprised when upon the first scan, they found two, instead of one, heart beating.
A few weeks into the pregnancy, Shaniece noticed that her baby bump had swollen bigger than her previous pregnancy.
“At the 10 week scan I joked, ‘I wonder if they will find another heartbeat,’ and just minutes later, they did,” Shaniece said.
“I was only supposed to be helping the family have a brother or sister for their little girl but I ended up giving them three babies at once," she added.
The babies were born healthy, and now are already a little bigger, when she shared their story via a Facebook post.

She also made Joanna and Steve a gift, in addition to the bundles of joy:
After Shaniece's incredible experience of being a surrogate mother for these adorable babies, she says, “I would advise anyone thinking about becoming a surrogate to do it, I can’t wait to do it again.”
It's hard for some to bear children, so we advise those who have to watch this video very carefully.
