Venus Raj making huge impressions on Miss Universe 2010, and her answer to the infamous question,
"What is one big mistake that you've made in your life & what did you do to make it right?"
Her answer to the question and the question itself made an explosive and numerous responses from the netizens worldwide. She won the 4th place, but who would have thought that she almost didn't make it to the final competition?

5. Maria Isabel Lopez
She was Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1982. However, the BPCI organization didn't like her walking the ramp showing some skin as a Gerald Peter model. She was asked to resign from the title, but she created a lot of fuss that she eventually retain the crown and represented the country in the Miss Universe 1982 competition in Peru.
She was the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1991. Though she's of Filipino descents, her citizenship stated otherwise. She's an American. Hence, she was not eligible to compete in the final competition of Miss Universe pageant.
She's the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1998. She looked every inch a Filipina, but only to find out that she possessed a Canadian passport.
2. Janelle Bautista
She's the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 1999. She has it all beauty, brains, and elegance, but she isn't Filipino by citizenship. She's an American citizen. Miriam Quiambao replaced her and went on to compete in the final competition of Miss Universe 1999 where she won first place.

She's the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010. The problem arose when the BPCI officials mentioned inconsistencies in her birth certificate. It was noted that she wasn't born in the Philippines but in Qatar. Raj fought to get her crown back. It was a big buzz, and after all the news and noise about it, Raj was reinstated and ended up represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant after producing a Philippine passport where she took home the 4th place.
