KAMI spotted this story from littlethings.com where a woman spent £12,000 ($15,000) on plastic surgery to transform her apperance before her wedding.
Chantelle Harris was excited when her fiancé, Marlon Powell, proposed to her. However, Chantelle was determined to completely transform her appearance before the wedding. It all began when Chantelle reached her heaviest at 294 pounds. She decided to pay for gastric band surgery.
“I needed the gastric band to help me lose weight as I had failed countless times with different diet plans. After losing eight stone [112 pounds] I felt great, I was fitter, not sluggish anymore and could feel the difference in every aspect of my life.” Chantelle said.
After the weight loss, Chantelle’s front went down five cups. After having met her beau, with the wedding looming, she wanted to size up.
“It left me feeling unhappy as there was nothing I wanted more than to look amazing on my wedding day. I wanted to have the option not to wear a bra on my big day and for me it was the way to complete my amazing transformation.” Chantelle added.
She underwent front augmentation surgery. Chantelle was lucky to have a supportive partner who really just wanted what would make her happiest. Chantelle was able to get the transformation she wanted. While it cost her £12,000 ($15,000) in total, she feels that it was worth every penny.
“What took me aback was that before most people would see my size before anything else, but not my fiancé, Marlon. He didn’t even think I was big enough to have a gastric band,” she recalled. “Before my surgery, he told me that he only wanted me to have the surgery if I was doing it for myself and no one else – he didn’t mind whether I had it or not. I’m so glad I did as I’ve gained all of my confidence back and feel so much happier now.”
KAMI wants to remind you that we should love our self regardless of what we look like or what size are we. We must contain our self confidence and do not think of what others think or say. Love yourself.
