Some of them have realized their mistakes and now making up a new life for themselves.
A Facebook post from the page named ThinkingPinoy has become viral touching every hearts of who reads it.
The post is about the good deed of the inmates at a district jail in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.
The prisoners said to skipped one meal in order to raise funds for relief goods for the evacuees of Marawi City.
According to the jail's warden, Supt. Simeon Dolojo, more than 1,400 inmates have participated and agreed to skip one meal ration and were able to raise 28 thousand pesos out of their P20 allocated budget per meal.
Their raised funds were used to buy rice, noodles and sardines for relief goods.
The inmates' incredible initiative actions were saluted and praised by many netizens.
This also shows that the prisoners too, could acquire brand new change for themselves and the possibility to provide assistance to their fellow Filipinos from behind the bars.
