It was a sigh of relief for many fans and netizens who have been religiously following the father-daughter controversy involving the two

KAMI chanced upon this news.abs-cbn.com article of the Padillas getting together for some bonding session.
Julia Barretto posted videos on her Instagram stories on Sunday.
One particular video showed the teen actress putting some lipstick on her dad Dennis Padilla, who, for his part, gamely played along and seemed to be really enjoying their little ‘makeover session’.

Light, yet genuine and heartfelt laughter can be heard as the two continue to fool around; We can’t help but feel really glad that they seem to have finally reconciled.
It can be recalled how about a year ago, controversies plagued the two when Julia publicly announced she wanted to legally drop her surname ‘Baldivia’ (Padilla’s real surname), instead favoring to use her mom’s family name ‘Barretto’.
Julia’s mother is actress Marjorie Barretto, Dennis Padilla’s estranged wife. They have three children together - Julia, Claudia, and Leon.
Julia and dad Dennis were also seen last February of this year spending some quality time over dinner. Despite her hectic schedule and work engagements, it’s nice to know this daughter makes it a point to see her father every once in a while.
The teen actress has this to say:
"As a daughter, it makes me really happy because at the end of the day, he’s still my dad. No matter what, gusto ko sa huli ay okay kami, walang hard feelings."
We’re glad they somehow seemed to have straightened things out and talked through their issues. After all, the people you can truly count on when it matters, are your own family.
Dennis certainly had a very “Happy Father’s Day”.
