KAMI spotted this unusual belief from www.indiatimes.com where a telengama man digged an entire national highway because "Lord has told him to."
A self-proclaimed Godman, Lakhan Manoj, claimed that Lord Shiva had come to his dream and asked him to build a temple in the place where Shiva Linga was buried. The 30-year-old man wasn't alone in his mission, even the sarpanch of Jangaon Balne Siddu Lingam and municipal vice-chairman Nagarapu Venkat believed Manoj's claims.
The man was joined by villagers who conducted special prayers and dug 20 feet deep on a stretch of the Warangal-Hyderabad highway. “Manoj is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and has been getting this dream since three years. He asked us to help him dig up the spot and construct the temple. He used to conduct prayers at this location every Monday. As Manoj swooned in excitement at this spot we believed him,” The Hindu quoted the sarpanch as saying.
The police have now booked the man for damaging property.
KAMI wants to remind you that we should respect everyone despite our different beliefs. We are all human even though we believe in different Gods.
