Just right before the summer vacation, a lot of teachers from the elementary, middle, and junior high school hand out awards through certifications to emphasize or highlight their students' talents and hard work all throughout the year.
However, for a 13-year old and 7th-grade girl Lizeth Villanueva who is in an advanced learning program at Anthony Aguirre Junior High School in Houston, Texas was baffled what her award would be for.
Lizeth didn't expect to get this kind of award from her teacher. The truth is everyone was stunned and perplexed with what the teacher wrote on the certificates.
"What were they thinking?"
This is the biggest question everyone's asking pertaining to a teacher and to the rest of the teachers who participated in the mock award ceremony.
Lizeth said, her teacher claimed the mock award was only a joke. Her teacher even read the award aloud as the "Most Likely become a terrorist." Then, the teacher handed the award to Lizeth while other teachers only watched and even laughed.
The seventh grader wasn't amused, to say the least, and added that the teacher made it clear that she didn't care about hurting her feelings.
However, the principal of the school apologized for the immensely offensive award, but Lizeth's mother believes that the teacher must face some kind of discipline. Lizeth, on the other hand, wants the woman fired out for humiliating her.
The story has received tremendous responses and outrage of support in views and opinions, especially from the mothers.
