- A 7-year-old boy in Cambodia went viral for having a Burmese Python as his pet
- He named the giant snake Chamreun
- Netizens expressed their concern over the boy’s safety despite the snake’s supposed friendliness towards humans
Most young boys would prefer to have a dog or a cat as a pet. However, a boy in Cambodia prefers something more exotic and deadly – a giant snake!
KAMI learned about 7-year-old Sambath’s story from a YouTube video of BZRtube.
Sambath’s reptilian house pet is a Burmese Python he named Chamreun, which is definitely capable of crushing and suffocating him.
According to the report, Sambath took Chamreun as a pet when the latter was still a very small snake.
Chamreun has grown into an enormous python but Sambath and his parents are not concerned.
The snake mostly feeds on chickens and has so far been gentle towards the boy.
However, netizens expressed their concern over the boy’s safety.
“The kid's playing with death. And it's the fault of his parents. A snake is a wild animal, not a pet,” a concerned netizen commented.
