A contestant on “America’s Got Talent” amazed everyone with her singing voice and her original song, made even more impressive by the fact that she is completely deaf.
KAMI obtained a video of her viral performance from America’s Got Talent’s YouTube channel.
It turns out that 29-year-old Mandy Harvey, who has been singing since she was 4, lost her hearing at the age of 18.
It was caused by a complete deterioration of her nerves due to a connective tissue disorder.
She understandably felt like she wanted to quit her musical aspirations when she became deaf but decided to move forward despite her disability.
For her performance, she showed off not only her singing voice but also her skills in playing the ukulele and her ability to write songs since she sang her own original song called “Try.”
Mandy also performed without her shoes on so that she could feel the vibrations from the ground and get her timing right.
Both the judges and the crowd went wild and gave her a standing ovation for her unbelievable performance.
Mandy also got a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell.
