After her beauty queen stint in the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, Venus Raj had this house built in her hometown of Camarines Sur.
With minimal funds to begin with, construction of the humble abode took about a year and a half to complete, with work mainly dependent on Venus’s budget.
It proved to be well worth the wait, though. Despite it still needing some more work to be done, her dream home is slowly coming together, and it’s turning out beautifully indeed.
Venus Raj’s home being along the main road, has become somewhat of a tourist destination in Bato, Camarines Sur.
Venus shared how travelers would often stop over and ask to take pictures of her place, and with her as well, if she ever was around.
Venus Raj’s bungalow seem to radiate a tropical resort aura, considering it was built to mimic hotel cabanas and outdoor spas.
With it’s simple, open-floor single level layout, it lets natural light and breezy air to circulate.
A small L-shaped sectional sofa divides the living area from the dining area. The wooden-glass sliding doors open to the veranda, giving direct view of the rice fields fronting Venus’s property.
The kitchen decors is kept minimal, giving the sleek black countertop a polished, well-kept vibe. Instead of a kitchen island, Venus opted to put in a long, sturdy wooden table to accommodate family gatherings.
Venus is planning on building a two-storey house right behind this bungalow.
