In a thanksgiving press conference for her current afternoon TV series “Doble Kara,” Julia Montes, dubbed the Royal Princess of Drama, expressed her gratitude for the positive feedback she gets for her impressive acting chops in the show, which also caught the attention of award-winning actress Claudine Barretto.
“Thank you, thank you,” was all she could say for Barretto who Montes admittedly looks up to as a thespian.
“Rewarding, parang lahat ng pagod, wala. As in nawawala po talaga. So mas lalo po akong nai-inspire gaya po ng sabi ko kanina. Mas lalo po akong nai-inspire na ibigay ko pa po ang best ko lalung-lalo na sa paigting nang paigting na Doble Kara,”
(It’s very rewarding, It makes all the fatigue and tiredness fade, it really does. It makes me more inspired like I said a while ago. It inspired me to further give my best especially that Doble Kara is now getting even more and more exciting)," Montes said.
Of her challenging dual role in the TV series as twins Kara and Sara, Julia said her emotions are starting to get confused off-the-set.
“Nakakalito na po sa feelings. Pagdating ko nga po sa bahay hindi ko po alam kung paano may pagka-Sara po ba ako or yung Kara. Talagang off-cam, nadadala ko yung mannerisms ng kambal,”
(My emotions get jumbled up. Whenever I come home I don’t know whether I am starting to adapt Sara’s or Kara’s traits. Off the camera, I tend to carry the twin’s mannerisms with me unknowingly)," she added.
“Doble Kara” is part of the Kapamilya Gold line-up of ABS-CBN and is produced by Dreamscape Entertianment Television.
