Former matinee idol Onemig Bondoc retired from show business in 2006. His life since then, including his love life, has been filled with both ups and downs.
KAMI learned that Onemig is now living a simpler and quieter life outs
Onemig, born on May 12, 1977, is best known for his role on “TGIS (Thank God It's Sabado)” and “Growing Up” on GMA.
When he transferred to ABS-CBN, he starred in a popular teleserye called “Ngayong Nandito Ka” with Kristine Hermosa.
During his showbiz years, the matinee idol invested in real estate and got involved with his family businesses, including the Benedictine International School of Quezon City.
He also tried to run as Representative in the 2nd Legislative District of Bataan during the 2013 elections but decided to withdraw from the race, reportedly accusing his competitor Ding Roman of using dirty tactics, as reported by GMA-7 Network.
As for his love life, Onemig got married to Filipina-French model Valerie Bariou and they have two children.
However, Onemig filed a case in 2015 in order to gain full custody of his two children, accusing his wife of not being capable enough of caring for them.
He is now a single dad who is focused on caring for his kids and managing his food franchise business.
Onemig is now living in Mariveles, Bataan, according to his Facebook account. He has also become very fond of cycling.
