PH top leaders join forces to resolve Marawi crisis

Terror attacks surprise the Philippines on May 23 and sowed fear among Filipinos after photos of the ISIS flag were shared online. In a rare sight, top leaders of the country President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice-President Leni Robredo joined hands to resolve the ongoing crisis.

Tatay Digong was in Russia when the ISIS-inspired Maute group attacked Marawi City. However, he cut his state visit short and fly back in the country. His words are touching when he said that he should be in the Philippines during times like these. He assured that the military has taken control of the situation.

VP Leni stepped up and was briefed by the Armed Forces of the Philippines about the situation. She encouraged people to put aside their political bias and to unite and pray for the Filipinos in the middle of the gunfight in the province.
