Barangay captains are supposed to keep peace and order in their community. Unfortunately, a Brgy captain in Cagayan did the opposite.
KAMI learned about the story of Brgy Captain Fred Arthur Agatep from a GMA News video report.
On May 20, Saturday, during the 2017 Tinupig Festival program in Cagayan, Agatep caused chaos by attacking the master of ceremonies because he did not hear his name being called among those who were to receive a token.
He also went to the stage while displaying an aggressive and hostile behavior.
It turned out that Agatep was drunk during the incident and that the emcee did call his name during the announcement.
According to Rappler, the emcee was Jeremy Christian Rola, a graduate of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
He currently works for the regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Rola is planning to file a complaint against Agatep.
