In the recent internet monitoring report conducted by Akamai, South Korea soars high with the highest average connection. During the last quarter of 2016, South Korea has beaten all other countries in the fastest internet speed.
The country leads at a speed of 29 Mbps while Norway has 23.6 Mbps making it on the second spot, and Sweden landed on the third place with 22.8 Mbps. Hongkong, on the other hand, is raising it up to the fourth place with 21.9 Mbps.
Overall, South Korea takes pride with its internet speed that about four times faster than the world's average internet connection of 7.0 Mbps.
Isn't that amazing?
Other Asian countries that made it to the top 10 with the highest average internet connection is Singapore with 20.2 Mbps and Japan. Overall, there are 4 Asian countries that made it to the top 10.
However, two Asian countries fall short to make it to the top spot as they got the slowest internet connection speed. India's average internet connection speed is 5.6 Mbps making it to the second slowest internet speed while the Philippines got the least among the rest with 4.5 Mbps.
Well, at least, the Philippines has something to be proud of, and that's its pristine, white sand beaches.
