Actor Cesar Montano admits that he harbors some resentment towards not being able to see his kids for a long time.
Mabuti pang huwag na lang,” he explained to Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph) during the opening of his solo oil painting exhibit in Kamuning Bakery Café yesterday afternoon, April 27.
(If I mention the reason, it’ll just cause pain for their mother. Nevermind. It’s better if I don’t say anything.)
Up until now, he still continues to fight for the right to see and be with his children.
“I have all the rights to see my children.
(It’s difficult to think about it, but it isn’t difficult for me to go on, because I know the time will come when I can see them again, and we can still be happy.)
The actor-director also clarified that he has always been a responsible father to his three kids with Sunshine Cruz.
(It’s better I tell you this to clear things up. Even if we don’t see each other, I’ve enrolled them for 2016. I paid for their entire year. From day one, it was I who sent the kids to school)
(Sunshine wasn’t working back then. I did not allow her to work. I wanted her to focus on the kids.)
The 53-year-old actor refuses to disclose details of any recent developments on the court case between him and Sunshine. He believes it is better if it the procedure is kept under wraps.
But I want to keep quiet about it, for the sake of the children. Nasasaktan ang mga bata, e.”
(We would involve the children if we made the case public. If it were just Sunshine and I, I’d be willing to talk about it. But I want to keep quiet because the children will be hurt.)
When asked straight to the point if he was seeing anybody – according to rumors, a beauty queen – who inspires him in his struggles, he was quick to deny this and confirm that he was still single.
“Single and happy po ako. I’m just committed to raise my children well and to give them good education.”
“I’m so inspired with my work, with my paintings, yung sa mga bagong pelikulang naka-line up. (The new movies lined up After elections, may mga pelikula akong gagawin.”
Cesar also has his hands full with campaigning for his party list Aangat Tayo. Furthermore, he has a new program in TV5 that will start airing this July, called The King of Masked Singer.
