#travelgoals is one of the most popular hashtag used on Instagram. Almost everyone wants to travel and sometimes it becomes a hobby. The most important thing about travelling is money. Not everybody has it so those who want to travel earn and save for it.
Here’s a story learned by KAMI of a 27-year-old woman who's been traveling around every country in the world.
Cassandra De Pecol prepared for this journey through saving every last penny from her babysitting job. It took her 18 months to save $111,000. Her main goal is to break the Guinness World Records.
In 2015, she set foot with her backpack loaded with cash, passports and these gadgets in hand.
Halfway through her journey, she got short in cash but luckily, sponsors showed up to fund her expedition.
In February 2017, she finished traveling the entire world and earned the title “Fastest time to visit all sovereign nations.”
She calls this journey “Expedition 196” for she dreamed to visit all 196 countries in the world. She became ambassador for peace on behalf of the International Institute for Peace through Tourism. She even spoke to at least 16,000 university students in 40 countries to talk about the humanitarian and environmental focus of her trip.
Her amazing travels are documented here. Let’s watch it.
