-Last year, a small glass coffin was discovered in a San Francisco home.
-It contained the remains of a little girl in a white laced dress, holding a red rose.
-So “Miranda Eve” she was called, coined by the group of investigators who took it upon themselves to find answers to this girl’s mysterious identity.
Based on the initial findings, it was surmised that the coffin might have been from the 19th century.
Extensive researches were done in the course of months, in the hopes that they will finally be able to trace the roots of “Miranda Eve”.
They searched far and wide, tracking down any possible living family.
When at long last, a year’s worth of intensive study finally paid off: the girl was Edith Howard Cook.
She was identified after a few sample hair strands matched a certain man named Peter Cook, who is a direct descendant of Edith’s brother, Milton H. Cook.
The Cooks were a well-off family. Edith’s father, Horacio used to be Consul for Greece.
Reports stated that Edith might have died from marasmus (extremely malnourished) possibly due to a terrible illness.
