- This video was about a school aged boy who is busily weaving strips of bamboo to make a big sawali mat.
- In the video, the boy was sitting on the already weaved part of the mad and is continuously inserting strips by strips meticulously following the pattern while properly fitting each strips.
- This video has received different reactions from the netizens. Some were impressed with the boy’s skill and diligence while others find him to be suffering from poverty blaming the parents for being responsible.
The boy in the video is around 9 to 10 old. He looked like an expert sawali weaver in the way he held an inserted bamboo strip in one hand and a small bolo in the other in order to lessen the gap and closing the spaces between each strips.
He was fast in inserting bamboo strip while maintaining care to the strips where it would be inserted. The boy did not seem to mind the sharp edges of the bamboo strips since he was too focused with the work on-hand.
After every insertion of bamboo strips the boy ensure that the strips were tightly woven among each other using his small bolo.
