KAMI's reportage of Ja-El Flores has led one reader to share a similar story.
Marvin M. Dela Cruz, who hails from Sta. Ana, Manila, has been missing since he did not return to their house on October 22, 2012.
He was only 13 years old when he suddenly disappeared.
Marvin is the second of five children, whose father works as an electrician in Bahrain while his mother works at a cook for the church.
Ernesto, his father, chatted with KAMI momentarily about his son's story.
According to him, Marvin went to his aunt's house by noon. Their houses are just near each other and it has become his habit to visit there.
When he did not return, they got worried and asked his brother to check if he was still in their aunt's home. He did not find his younger brother there.
They went to a TV station to alert everyone on who might have seen him, but they were led to radio stations to air their side.
His family have also approached the police station and spread photos of him all throughout.
One of the most important things to note about Marvin is that he is deaf-and-mute, but that doesn't mean that he had no friends because of his disability.
Ernesto claimed that his son had a lot of friends whom he played with. However, he stopped going to school and only reached up to third grade.
Have you seen Marvin anywhere? Please let KAMI know if you did in the comments! Even clues are highly appreciated.
