When we were young and helpless, our parents did their best to guide, help and protect us. But when they get old, it is the children’s turn to guide, help and protect their parents.

That is exactly what Pokwang is doing for her mother in this emotional video obtained by KAMI from her Instagram page.
“Back to my nanay Gloria's arms hahhaahaa dati sya nagturo sakin lumangoy ngayon ako nman aalalay sayo (She was the one who taught me how to swim but this time, it is my turn to guide her). yeeeeyyyy sarap na sarap sya (She is really enjoying this),” Pokwang posted.

The clip shows Pokwang swimming in the pool with his American boyfriend and her mother who is suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease – an irreversible brain disorder that gradually destroys memories, thinking and behavior.
"Wala na siyang emosyon… Ayaw na niyang kumain. Wala na siyang konsepto ng lungkot o saya,” Pokwang told Push.
(She no longer has emotions… She has lost her appetite. She no longer has the concept of sadness or happiness.)

Netizens applauded Pokwang for continuing to love her mother even though she could not recognize her anymore.
