KAMI had the chance to interview a brave boy who was diagnosed with medulloblastoma or brain tumor when he was just 4 years old.

Hans Christopher Reyes and his mom Lilibeth Reyes shared their inspiring story and how they dealt with the killer C, proving that faith and willpower can conquer it all.

Mommy Lilibeth shared:

"Hindi ko inisip na sabihin sa kanya kasi typical na batang makulit siya eh. Tsaka napaka-positive niyang bata kahit may nararamdaman siya tatakbo lang siya ng konti tapos pag bumalik sakin may nararamdaman na pala, hihiga."

"Actually naka-2 siyang major operations, yung tumor excretion at saka yung paglalagay ng VP shunt, yung tubo from the brain to the pantog para ma-drain yung excess na tubig sa utak."

"Hindi naman siya umiiyak pero yun na nga ang sinabi sa kanya nung mga doktor niya. Sabi niya, 'etong batang to is iba yung willpower ng bata' kasi talagang kung sa atin daw matatanda eh sobrang sakit nun, parang pinupukpok siya ng bato pero siya hindi ko siya nakitaan ng ganoon na sobrang severe yung headache niya. Papahinga lang siya, uupo sa tabi ko, hihiga sa akin, mamaya maya pag medyo okay na yung hilo niya tatakbo nanaman siya."

Hans meanwhile shared his future plans now that he already survived cancer:

"Yung una po, gusto ko pong maging businessman. Tapos narealize ko po sa buhay ko na parang gusto ko pong mamuhay ng mag-isa. As in ako lang po kasi minsan po talaga naisip ko na kung mayroon po akong taong makakasama parang makakadagdag lang po ako sa problema niya. Mas gusto ko po yung ako yung magbigay kaysa sila yung magtrabaho para sa akin."

"Sa totoo lang po hindi ko po talaga alam yung mga nangyayari. Nag-eenjoy lang po ako. Parang na-realize ko po (na gusto kong mag-pari) nung nag-eenjoy ako kapag kasama yung mga seminarista, yung mga ka-sakristan ko po."

"Unang una yung mga ka-sakristan ko po kasi sa kanila ko po nalaman kung saan po talaga ako bagay. Mga youth ministry kung baga natuto po akong mag-reflect, natuto po akong mag-share, natuto po akong magbigay. Natuto po akong magbasa ng Bible, natuto po akong magdasal ng mataimtim."

Hans is set to pursue his dream to become a priest someday.
