Still wondering why Kisses Delavin has the moniker ‘Miracle Child of Masbate’?
Let’s recall altogether her story, which she has shared during her stay in the ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ house.
The second runner-up of the reality competition opened up in detail about how she came to be – being the child her parents so wished to have, after her mother had eight miscarriages over the course of five years.
The aspiring actress revealed to PUSH that she had viral encephalitis when she was six years old, which gave her a near-death experience.
It all started with a fever but got worse as the day passed. Her skin was turning darker and that alarmed her parents to call on a doctor immediately.
The doctor advised that she should be taken to Manila, which her parents did via airlift from Cebu.
Fortunately, she made it – but lost her memory upon waking up. It took her a month to recover everything and now she has been given a second chance to live life to the fullest.
One of the most memorable takeaways of her story was this statement given to her by her father: “You still have a purpose or a mission in this world …you need to grow up finding that purpose.”
