Two police officers were part of a prank that was part of a romantic proposal outside of their squad car.
Greg Morris, who was a correctional officer, asked his girlfriend, Brooklyn Schrupp, to marry him, after she was asked to pull over by the sheriff's office.
They then pretended to arrest Brooklyn before actually telling her it was an elaborate joke by Greg.
According to Greg, Brooklyn adored the proposal since it was such a good prank. She took it well and had fun with it.
Actually, Greg says he wouldn't have gone through with the prank if he knew she wouldn't take it well. They still laugh about it a couple of days later.
Greg and Brooklyn have been together for 4 years since high school.
Greg, who was a correctional officer, asked for the help of the sheriff's office for a different proposal.
He called the sheriff at the last minute. Although it was a surprise, they decided to make it happen.
Brooklyn thought she was going to their photoshoot with Greg. Yet while driving, the 2 officers pulled her over.
They told Brooklyn that she had to pay for traffic violations in the past and her license was suspended.
Afterwards, she was put at the back of their car and told her that she had to stay calm and everyone in the back needed to be handcuffed.
When Brooklyn was released, it was then that he went down on one knee.
According to the police, he was happy to have been part of it and they were excited as well.
Brooklyn said she had fun with this prank. Since she usually doesn't get into trouble, when they asked her to go back to the car, she was shocked.
She felt that the proposal was tailor fit for them because he loves his job and her family is in law enforcement as well.
As the proposal was ongoing, a friend of Greg and Brooklyn took pictures. They hope to marry in 2018.
