Three years ago, Mette Kvam of Norway, saved a wounded deer from hunters and nursed him back to health. Mette nicknamed the wounded animal Flippen, or "Cry Baby" because of its melting tear-filled eyes.
Once Flippen recovered it was release back into the wild, but it never forgot Mette or her kindness.
Ever since then, Flippen always comes back to the house to visit its savior, especially during the cold Norwegian winters, and to beg for a slice of delicious bread!
Every morning, Mette wakes up knowing that Flippen is waiting outside her window for his breakfast!
Flippen is now very large indeed, with a massive rack of antlers and an impressive bulk and no-one dares to hurt him, but to Mette he is as gentle and tender as a new born fawn!
Flippen has become a celebrity with the locals, and a wonder to the tourists who gasp at his majestic presence and are astounded by his devotion to Mette.
