Daniel Padilla on turning 21, “baka puwede na 'kong mag-anak”

Last Sunday, April 24, Daniel Padilla expressed that his 21 birthday wish is to have a child.

During the Himig Handog P-pop love songs 2016 competition, artists like Morisette, Itchyworms, Bailona, and many more graced the stage. Daniel Padilla also performed a special number to the Himig Handog audience. The actor sang “Yakap sa Dilim,” originally sung by Apo Hiking Society, while the G-force dancers danced around him. Daniel also participated as a contestant for the competition last 2014 with the entry “Simpleng Tulad Mo.”

Immediately after his performance, hosts Kathryn Bernardo, Enrique Gil, and Robi Domingo interviewed the recently turned 21-years-old actor. Daniel was asked by Robi: “Kumpletuhin mo ang statement na ‘to ha: Ngayong magtu-21 na ‘ko… puwede na ‘kong mag… blank.” (Complete this statement: Now that I’m turning 21, I can now … blank.)

Daniel answered the question, as if it was a beauty pageant question. He first thanked everyone who attended the event, congratulated the contestants, and greeted the judges a good evening. He finally answered with: “Ngayong 21 na ako baka, baka puwede na ‘kong mag-anak.” (Now that I’m 21, maybe I can have a child of my own.) He immediately followed that with a “hindi, loko lang!” (No, just kidding!). The crowd and even the hosts could not contain their shock from DJ’s answer.

Daniel even exclaimed: “Hindi niyo ineexpect yun!” (You didn’t see that coming.) Robi even observed that Kathryn was sweating from Daniel’s answer!

Kathryn, who recently surprised Daniel with a birthday bash, couldn’t stop blushing after Daniel said his wish. Here are some of the sweetest moments during the recent Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs competition, in case you can’t get enough of Kathniel.

As they say, jokes are half meant so maybe there is some truth to what he said. Do you think Daniel Padilla really wants to have a baby soon?
