In a recent outbreak of rage, heartache, disgust, disappointment and all sorts of negative emotions, Twitter lit up like a fireball!
All because a loving grandfather spent hours preparing dinner for his 6 grandkids, and only one of them showed up. It was her tweet with a photo of her sad and disappointed grandfather that sent Twitter followers spiraling into a frenzy.
Kelsey Harmon from Oklahoma was just one of the 6 grandkids invited to dine with Papaw.
But when she knocked at the door she was welcomed into an empty home. None of the other grandkids bothered to show up or to let Papaw know.
According to Kelsey, he had always gone to great lengths to keep them together and to keep them close to him. No wonder the poor man was so disappointed.
Not long after she shared her tweet to the world it went viral with over 70 000 retweets in the first day.
The Twitter community stood up for family. They stood up for Papaw! Tweets streamed in with sympathy and empathy for not only Papaw, but for all grandparents. Kelsey's grandfather won the hearts of people all over the world.
If you liked this story, please share it with the world. If you have wonderful grandparents like Papaw, we'd love to hear about them.
Family can never be replaced, and it is not ever something to be taken for granted, even if it is a little broken or dysfunctional.
