There are people that use the expression “the customer is always right” as an excuse when they want to offend the people who are providing a service without knowing what this person can feel.
That day, this woman, who was studying at the university at night, came from leaving her sick little son at her parents' house to fulfill her day in the supermarket where she worked to pay for her studies.
The day passed without any novelty when suddenly a woman who looked very elegant and wealthy came .
Even though the elegant lady looked like an educated person, what happened next was not.
instead of placing the items in front of the cashier, The woman simply threw everything, and although the young woman said "good day" she did not even get a reply, she started to fix her daughter's hair while throwing a package of Coupons to the cashier.
The girl took a deep breath and began to scan the products and the coupons discovering that one of them was already expired.
In the most gracious way she told the woman that the coupon had already expired a year ago and that in fact it did not match any of the products she had in her purchase.
When the woman heard what the cashier told her she completely altered, she even started yelling at the woman that she was being disrespectful and that “the customer is always right” and that she had to accept that coupon.
In the midst of all the scandal the woman asked the cashier to call her boss, because she would not deal with her any more. While they waited for the supervisor the woman said to her daughter:
"No you see why I always tell you to study? You must study so you don't come to be a failure like this woman and not finish as a cashier in a supermarket"
When the supervisor arrived where the woman was, in a very negative attitude, he immediately checked the coupons and the products.
When the man finished he handed the coupons to the client and told her that they were indeed expired.
Before the woman could say anything the man began to take the products out of the bags.
When the woman started to alter, he told her that he could not allow anyone to insult his workers and asked to please leave the store.
No one could believe what was happening, and after everything calmed down, the man said that because one person works in the service of another it does not mean that they have to allow or endure insults.
