Another earthquake hits the Philippines on Holy Monday. This time in Bicol and Eastern Visayas.

The earthquake struck at 8:43 am with the epicenter at 89 kilometers northeast of Mapanas, Northern Samar, in the Philippine Sea, at a depth of 27 kilometers below the surface. It was of tectonic origin, Phivolcs said. The US Geological Survey measured the quake as a magnitude 5.7.
Catarman, Northern Samar, and Juban, Sorsogon felt Intensity II, while Intensity I was felt in Tacloban City and Palo Leyte, and was detected by instruments in Legazpi City, Masbate City, Borongan, and Sorsogon City.
Meanwhile, a series of earthquakes rocked parts of Luzon on April 8, Saturday with the epicenter in Mabini, Batangas. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) measured the quake at 5.7 magnitude.
It was quickly followed by a 6.0 magnitude tremor at 3:09 pm, also in the same area, according to Phivolcs. USGS earlier said this tremor had a magnitude of 5.9.
Fortunately, Phivolcs assured that there is no tsunami, although aftershocks are expected.
