One day, his parents were shocked when they visited their son's grave. The grass around it had become greener, even though all the other areas still looked dry and had yellowed.
When Joseph Villasenor's parents Rachel and Raymond went to visit his final resting place, they were shocked to find that among all the brown grass over the graves, Joseph's grave site was bright green. Then they noticed an elderly gentleman nearby...
Jake Reissig's wife, Liz, passed away in 2014 after 65 years of wedded bliss. After her death, Jake would visit his wife's grave on a daily basis to take care of the grave site and make sure the grass is watered. Then one day he noticed a young woman sobbing at a grave nearby.
Approaching her, Jake asked if she was alright. She told him that this was her brother Joseph's grave, and that he had served 16 years in the military before dying in a car crash in 2010.
Jake returned to Liz's grave site, but kept thinking that Joseph had passed away far too young after sacrificing so much for his country. He made a decision to look after Joseph's grave site as well, and started watering the grass there too.
When Rachel and Raymond came to see Joseph's grave a while later, they were intrigued by the gesture, but extremely grateful to Jake for taking the time to care for Joseph's grave.
