It has been reported that Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza, was inappropriately touched during their taping for yesterday’s episode of Eat Bulaga.
Yaya Dub, the Dubsmash viral video sensation, was being her goofy self on the set of Eat Bulaga last April 27. She was seen doing wacky faces and crazy dance moves while they were visiting a barangay for their segment in the famous noontime show.
What we didn’t know was that there were bad things happening in between breaks. It has been reported that Maine Mendoza was sexually harassed and inappropriately touched. It has not been confirmed who did it or how it happened. There is a viral video, however, that shows Yaya Dub seemingly crying while getting food. One of the fans in the video even shouted: “Ayun oh, umiiyak!” (There she is, crying!) Maine is seen wearing the same outfit she was wearing during the taping.
But according to one of Aldub’s fans club, they have spoken to “a reliable source from Maine’s team” and issued a statement regarding what happened. Yaya Dub is “moving on from what happened” and her team is “now making sure that it won’t happen again.” She has expressed her gratitude for the genuine concern of her fans.
Maine didn’t let the issue get to her by continuing to focus on work instead. A few hours after the incident, Yaya Dub was spotted doing a photo shoot with her on-screen partner Alden Richards.
To pass time, and to perhaps forget the incident, Maine’s funny photos of herself with Hollywood stars’ faces like Angelina Jolie, Cara Delevingne, and Kylie Jenner were posted in Aldub’s Behind the scenes Instagram account.
Yaya Dub ended her long and emotional day by listening to Coldplay’s song “Everglow.”
As of this moment, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza have not yet issued their official statements yet regarding the sexual harassment issue.
