It was unlike any wild animal he's ever heard. Was he to move closer and see, or would it have been best to turn away?
All that Greg Zubiak knew was that his moose hunt in the Saskatchewan woods was over. It was now a simple matter of survival; a matter of life and death.
Greg had set out for a spot of moose hunting in the surrounding woods near Glaslyn in Canada when he heard strange sounds coming from a clearing in the nearby trees.
As he approached the source of these sounds he realized that it was coming from the ground. No one could have prepared him for he was about to find.
Forced into a small cardboard box, Greg found 20 puppies squished together, all of different sorts, shapes and sizes.
The pups were all under 6 weeks old, with some as young as a mere 3 weeks. They were abandoned and left to die and rot in the silent, cold woods.
He rushed the pups to a local shelter for treatment. Unfortunately the shelter could not foster them as they were already overcrowded.
News of the puppies spread like celebrity gossip. They were all soon adopted into the caring and loving homes that they deserved.
But how could anyone submit poor defenseless creatures to such a cruel and harsh fate when there was an animal shelter not more than a few miles further down the road?
People like these walk among us, hiding their true natures behind fake smiles and friendly facades. They are the real animals!
