An unfortunate Chinese couple lost P140,000 after a fake Filipina agent sold them a non-existent condominium unit at the Greenbelt Parkplace Condominium in Makati City.

According to the news report from TV5, the couple was in contact with Ella, who sold them a unit on the 39th floor after taking them to a showroom at Greenbelt.
But when they visited the building itself, they found out that the Condominium has only 38 floors.

The victims – who are scheduled to get married – also realized that the contracts and other documents given to them by Ella have no notarization.
Authorities are investigating the case and are warning the public to be extra careful in any kind of business transaction, especially one that involves a large amount of money.
