If Vice President Jejomar Binay will become the next president of the Republic of the Philippines, then the people will no longer have to worry about their pedicure and manicure as this will become one of Binay’s dream – provide free manicure and pedicure especially for senior citizens.
Vice President Jejomar Binay wants to raise the bar for the Filipinos and free them from poverty. So, if he becomes the next president, nobody will die from curable diseases and the people, especially the senior citizens, will have access to "free manicure and pedicure."
This is what the presidential candidate said during his rally last Tuesday night at the Sagñay Sports Complex, Sagñay town, which was attended by about 6,000 people. Sagñay is considered to be a bailiwick of his allies, the Fuentebella clan.
“Under my leadership, no poor Filipino will die because of illness. I want our country [to be rich enough] that even the manicure and pedicure are free, specifically for senior citizens,” he told the crowd.
Improving the lives of the people, especially the senior citizens and those living in poverty, is one of the main campaigns of the vice president. Also included in his platform is the widening social services, increase the pay for teachers, and cut taxes for individuals who earn P30,000 or less per month.
Binay also promised the people in the region that he would build an express highway in Del Gallego, Camarines Sur, so that people will spend lesser time traveling from Bicol from Manila. He also promised to construct another airport in the region.
“We will create more jobs and irrigation is free. Many of our land are unproductive because we lack of irrigation and water," Binay added.
Binay is in the Bicol region for his three-day campaign. He will be in Sorsogon on Wednesday and in Albay on Thursday.
