- Renso Villarta used to be a cheerful, high-spirited young boy just like normal kids until he was diagnosed with an unusual illness on February 16
- His whole body is in severe pain but he is still giving it a good fight
- This poor kid suffers from Viral Encephalitis, a rare disease that affects motor skills, causes brain inflammation and a long term memory loss
One concerned netizen would like to share Renso's heartbreaking story with KAMI.com.ph readers.
"This boy caused this world no harm yet right now he is suffering from extreme pain.
"He was recently diagnosed with Viral Encephalitis (as of now, possibly ANTI-NMDA RECEPTOR ENCEPHALITIS), a rare disease which causes brain inflammation and affects motor skills, and long term memory loss.
"We are in deep pain seeing this kid not remember anything from his life from something that didn't affect him not until recently. Since last week he was confined in South Gen Hospital and transferred to Chong Hua Hospital, thinking that his ailment is not that serious at first.
"He didn't complain much about his stomach pains nor his headaches and even sang while doctors injected him with an IV.
"This occurrence caught the whole family off guard, with the hospital bills, medicines, and the fact that of all people, he is like the one being punished.
"Right now his hospital bills exceed what the whole family can afford to contribute, not even the funds we have accumulated through a fund raising concert hosted by his school for his aid is sufficient.
"Just this week his test results came in and the doctors are advising to have him take this medicines that are not yet available in the Philippines and could cost Php 90,000.00 per treatment, and to be administered multiple times consecutively.
"As of now, his brain fluids are being sent to Spain for further study. We deeply implore unto your kind hearts to help us out. It doesn't matter if you donate less than a hundred, your piso would always count. Please give this bright guy the chance to live on his long life like a normal kid would.
"Your prayers and shares are of very much appreciation also. We hope that you can be a part of his journey to healthfulness."
