6 Kapamilya love teams that didn’t click
There is no perfect formula for most things in life, including showbiz love teams.
Actors and actresses get paired up for certain projects, which can either end successfully or not.
The Kapamilya network is known for having some of the country’s hottest love teams, but there were instances that they weren’t able to milk the chemistry between these stars. Find out who they are here!

1. Enrique Gil and Julia Montes
Before LizQuen, there was JulQuen. The two were first paired in the 2013 series ‘Muling Buksan Ang Puso’ but it only lasted for that project as Enrique was paired with Liza Soberano for ‘Forevermore’ the following year.
2. James Reid and Devon Seron
Both came from the Pinoy Big Brother house, particularly in its Teen Clash edition in 2010. However, their pairing came to a halt when James left showbiz for a while. Now he is one-half of JaDine, one of the most popular love teams in the country.

3. Miles Ocampo and Inigo Pascual
These childhood besties were only paired in the afternoon soap ‘And I Love You So’ in 2015, which only lasted for three months.
4. Xian Lim and Erich Gonzales
Both rose to fame in ‘Katorse’, which is the only series they worked on together. After that, Xian was paired up with Kim Chiu and their love team, KimXi, is also considered one of the network’s successful love teams.

5. Matteo Guidicelli and Jessy Mendiola
The two, who also had a brief off-screen relationship, were only teamed up in the last Precious Hearts Romances Presents series ‘Paraiso’ in 2012.
6. Julia Barretto and Kenzo Gutierrez
The young stars were paired in ‘And I Love You So’, much like Miles and Inigo. Julia is now paired up with two of the network’s rising male stars – Joshua Garcia and Ronnie Alonte.
