A miracle and a surprise in one historic night for the Philippine national football team.
Pulling a shocker and a come-from-behind victory, Azkals upset two-time World Cup-qualifying team, North Korea, on March 29 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila.
Midfielder Lain Ramsay scored the last goal on the 90 minute, sending a total of 7 thousand crowd in rapture. Manny Ott, Javier Patino and James Younghusband capped the night's tilting board game with fine passes and quick, consecutive goals.
"The words we have on our T-shirt, 'We Believe', was the main thing for us before the game," American coach Thomas Drooley said.

After winning, but failing to continue in the road to Russia campaign, the Philippines from Group H, had automatically qualified for the third round of the 2019 Asian Football Cup qualification where they will vie for the 12 slots left.
Azkals's FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign ended with three wins, one draw and four losses.
The national team has yet to qualify for both FIFA World Cup and Asian Cup.
