Duterte: "And if God wants me there, I will be there"

Destiny would dictate if he would win the 2016 election for presidential race according to PDP-Laban standard bearer and leading presidentiable, Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte.  

Duterte entered the presidential race for 2016 as a late substitute for PDP– Laban.

He has been known as the Dirty Harry of Davao City and fond of using colourful speeches with a heaping of crass words.

He believes that there should be no American citizen should be running for such a high esteemed position for the country which eventually led to his decision to join the bid.

“I will be the last card of the Filipino people. And if God wants me there, I will be there,” Duterte told the Inquirer.

He has been tagged as suffering from speaking before thinking that clearly leads to scandalous comments.

His mistakes such as cursing the Pope Francis for a major traffic concern last time he visited Manila. He even cited that he had peed in a soda bottle inside his car just to relieve himself.

This past weeks, Duterte has been in hot water over statements on the rape of Australian missionary from way back 1989.

In addition to this, is the annulment decision from estranged ex- wife Elizabeth Zimmerman made was made public with findings of the psychologist deemed destructive to his candidacy.

Amidst all this, Duterte is considered as a good man by many, especially his constituents in Davao City. He is regarded as a compassionate, sincere and principled man by his own chief of staff, Leoncio Evasco Jr.
