After Steve Harvey was handed a pair of glasses by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe Iris Mittenaere, was welcomed as the new queen of the Universe! Iris Mittenaere, 24, is from Lille, France. She is pursuing her degree in Dental surgery. She had said that she is also interested in traveling and cooking.

The show which was opened with an exchange between the controversial Steve Harvey and Miss Universe 2015, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, has finally welcomed it's newest queen.

Among the eighty-six contestants from different countries competing for the Miss Universe crown - as the judges who had been looking for a woman with substance and beauty said - three beauties advanced to the final round.

After Miss Colombia, Miss Haiti, and Miss France advanced to the last round of the Miss Universe competition, the second Question and Answer portion came, leaving the netizens wondering who will actually be taking home the crown.

For the second round of question and answer, the finalists were asked:"Name something over the course of your life that you failed at and what you learned from that experience."

The contestants gave good answers, with Miss Haiti the only one who did not use the services of an interpreter.

After a round of advertisements, the second runner-up for Miss Universe was named first - in the person of Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar!

Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissiere was subsequently named as the 1st runner-up.
