Manila resident gets shot 19 times by gunmen outside his home

Many netizens were shocked and horrified by a CCTV footage showing a resident in Sampaloc, Manila getting shot 19 times by a group of unidentified gunmen.

According to News 5, Ernesto Tapang was resting outside his home after a late night drinking session when a vehicle arrived and parked in front of him.

The group of armed men then got off the SUV and started firing on the defenseless victim.

GMA News reports that Tapang was shot at least 19 times by the gunmen. He was taken to the hospital after the incident but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The police said that the victim had no criminal record nor was he included in the drug watch list. Tapang’s family suspects that the murder was a case of a mistaken identity.

His brother told reporters that his brother was innocent and that he was a good man.

Netizens urged the local authorities to investigate the case and find the killers as soon as possible.
