Chen Yimei, a brave woman who showed the word that after losing her leg nothing could stop her by representing Sichuan at the National Paralympic Games in 2015 when she was 22-year-old.
Even though it is unknown how the young woman lost her leg, what is really well known is that despite losing a leg, she has spent two years training to be an athlete and was so good that she went to the National Paralympic Games.
Having studied at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Chen, joined and started to train as a professional athlete in December 2012 thanks to her willpower and determination.
Although Chen had never received training before, she was the only one in her team to have started from scratch and her training started at 5:30 am in the morning until 6 pm in the evening.
According to Chen learning how to jump with one leg was one the most unforgettable experiences of her life and before using prosthesis to jump, her coach actually made her jump with one leg for about nine months.
