Collin Clarke a 22-year-old man with Down syndrome was overweight and depressed but after he met his personal trainer at Bob's Gym North in Evansville, Indiana his life changed and now after one year of hard work and a strict diet he fulfilled his dream of competing in a bodybuilding competition.
Collin's inspiring journey began while he was working the front desk at Bob's Gym and watched personal trainer Glenn Ubelhor in the next room, practicing routines for upcoming competitions in between his sessions with clients.
Collin´s and Glenn passion for bodybuilding led to a friendship, and Ubelhor began training Collin and one year later, after following a strict diet and exercise regime, Collin is 60 pounds lighter at 145 pounds with less than 10 percent body fat.
Tammi Hargett, Collin’s neighbor said ‘”we’ve always been really close with Collin, he’s such a great kid. But to see this transformation in his physique, it’s so great for his health. He’s just done such an outstanding job.”
Collin says his bodybuilding career is far from over, “I’m gonna keep on bodybuilding. It’s my dream. In a long time, the Arnold Classic. I’ll keep on doing this”
All these new life and the change in his body has also improved his cognitive abilities, his social skills and even his diction has improved.
